ET Microfilm Ltd began its microfilm bureau operation in 1990, providing a high volume capture and filming service from its base in Byfleet, Surrey. The business has increasingly grown since its formation and with this growth has come a comprehensive understanding of customers needs and expectations.

Now serving major blue chip customers - the health service - local government, and many large and small businesses ET has become synonymous within the document imaging industry.

With the development of digital document management and archiving, the company is constantly expanding in this area using the most advanced technology available, thus ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

Having built a substantial client-base, Barry Emery, Managing Director, began to investigate the latest digital capture and retrieval systems on the market. The range of services we now provide include hard-copy to image on CD-ROM, hard-copy to microfilm and hard-copy to web-server -providing the ability for people to view live files online over the internet via industry standard web-browser.

Barry states: "Microfilm remains an inexpensive and reliable means of storing information for archive purposes and for infrequent accessed documents. However, we were keen for the company to evolve in tandem along the digital path".

We offer a complete service, which includes collection and the return or confidential destruction of your documents, and the equipment required to retrieve your images.

As part of the overall document management solution ET Microfilm offers a media storage service. Using this service means that customers have the additional security of holding an off-site backup, whether they are using CD or microfilm.

This service can be successfully used in conjunction with ET Microfilm's other services, for example if a customer decides to move to scanning, but has a vast library of microfilms that would be uneconomical to digitise, ET Microfilm can store the microfilms and perform retrievals from the microfilm on the customer's behalf. This removes all of the problems of library management from the customer, and saves the increasing annual servicing charges that apply to the majority of microfilm readers and printers .

If customers require items from storage E.T. Microfilm can either fax or e-mail electronic copies of the specific images, or copies of the entire CD or microfilm can be sent to the customer .
